Most of the people in the internet hate these unwanted surprises and disturbing images. Some say it ruins their day seeing those gore videos, images and other kinds of the same stuff. Also, about the so-called “Revenge Porn” (we don’t want our own Facebook account sharing porn videos without our knowledge). So, Facebook announced a new process to eliminate the spread of criminal content.
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg noted that porn is their key focus here.
Zuckerberg posted on Facebook,
“We’re focused on building community that keeps people safe. That means building technology and AI tools to prevent harm. Today we’re rolling out new tools to prevent “revenge porn” from being shared on Facebook, Messenger and Instagram. Revenge porn is any intimate photo shared without permission. It’s wrong, it’s hurtful, and if you report it to us, we will now use AI and image recognition to prevent it from being shared across all of our platforms.”
How will this new process work?
“If someone tries to share the image after it’s been reported and removed, we will alert them that it violates our policies and that we have stopped their attempt to share it.”, the Facebook Team said.
Facebook’s automated image-recognition technology and the said new developed process are the latest feature that will enhance the user’s experience and safety for the platform.
